The city of Douglas is one of the best 100 small towns in America. In addition to being the Offical Home of the Jackalope and a Tree City USA, Douglas is also proud to be the home of the Wyoming State Fairgrounds and Pioneer Museum, Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy, Douglas Railroad Interpretive Center, Douglas Community Golf Course, Douglas Motorsports Park, CANDO/Old City Hall and the final resting place of Sir Barton, the first thoroughbred colt to win the American Triple Crown.

The D.R.I.C museum is the home to a variety of train cars, including a locomotive, dining car for visitors to explore, inside and out. The Douglas Area Chamber of Commerce is housed in what was once the passenger depot. The building dates back to 1886 and retired from service in 1970. With a renovation from the City of Douglas, the building re-opend in 1995 in its current state.


The weekend prior to our rally - the fairgrounds is host to the 2011 Wyoming High School Finals Rodeo. Activities that will be available to the public will include bareback riding, team roping, goat tying, saddle bronc, brekaway, steer wrestling, barrel racing, bull riding and much more. It will be a great weekend . . . come early!!
